On August 6th GADSAR responded an ATV roll over up the Quartz Creek FSR to assist the RCMP and BCAS. The lone female driver was pinned between a tree and the ATV.

GADSAR assisted in removing and packaging the the patient. A rope rescue system was utilized to bring her to the road where she was transferred to BCAS for further care.

On July 28, two GADSAR members responded via helicopter to an injured hiker on T2 at Kicking Horse Resort. Patient was transferred to BCAS for further treatment.

On July 22, GADSAR responded to an injured climber on Moby Dick Mountain approx. 50 km SW of Golden. The climber was transported via helicopter to the BC Ambulance Service for further care.

At approximately 15:00 MT, GADSAR responded to an injured dirt biker in the Kinbasket Lake area. GADSAR assisted the BC Ambulance Service and the patient was air-lifted to the Golden Hospital.

On September 24th GADSAR was called to assist BCAS and the GFD with an over the embankment rescue. 5 rope team members responded via ground. GADSAR, BCAS and GFD members all worked together to bring the single patient up the 100 ft bank with a dual rope system. The seriously injured female patient was then transported via ground to Golden.

We will practise Ascending with prussiks, decending, stretcher rigging, passing knots, mechanical advantage systems, etc.

We will be putting away the gear used in last weekends Swift Water Rescue course. There will also be an opportunity to practise some dual rope rescue (tandem prussik / break rack) skills.
