We will go over the proper techniques for reading maps, using a compass and how to navigate using the two together.

Injured male snowboarder

BCAS requested GADSAR to assist with a injured male snowboarder who was near the boundary of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. 5 GADSAR members responded via ground and accessed the injured male by snowmobile. The male was transported back to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and transferred to BCAS there.

Distress calls from a female along Kicking Horse River

GADSAR was requested by the RCMP to assist in investigating distress calls from a female along the Kicking Horse River near the Spirit Square. 5 GADSAR members responded via ground to the location but were stood down as the missing female was found in a local establishment.
