GADSAR was called to assist BCAS with the extrication of a female rafter on the Kicking Horse River. The subject was taken from the scene to the Golden Hospital via HETS.

This is the Big Awesome GADSAR OPEN HOUSE!!!!!  We want as many members as possible to be present (wearing SAR gear!) We will have a BBQ, some socializing, working out the finer details of a concurrent HETS training scenario/River rescue, and a bouncy castle! Its going to be the best ever! So the event is from 1100-1600, we need folks there early to set up tents, pull out trucks and equipment.... etc....

The GADSAR Open House is June 23rd 1100-1600, We will use this evenings practice to prepare for the event!

On March 31, 2012 5 members of GADSAR responded to an injured male sledder/skier inthe McLean Creek area. The subject was located and brought back to theSilent Pass trailhead via snowmobile. The injured male had sustained alower leg injury and was transferred to BCAS in Parson.

GADSAR was notified about an overfue skier late Friday. At first light on Saturday morning GADSAR members flew to International Basin to look for the overdue skier. Skier was found at the hut, had been weathered out. SKier was uninjured.
