Everyone that is attending the Swift Water course on Sept 13-15 needs to help pack the equipment and acquire the proper gear for the weekend. 

The September Executive Meeting will be held at 630-730.

The Swift Water classroom session will be held from 730-930ish.

We have three new 'In Reach' satellite communication units, we also have a new ipad. Lets learn hw to use them together and the neat little tricks involved with both.

We will go over the contents of a 24 hour pack. A 24 hour pack is what you would take with you on all SAR calls and contains the essentials for surviing 24 hours out in the remote mountain wilderness.

First Aid Training evening. We will go over quick splints, sager splint, collar application and vacuum splints.

A review of Top Down rescue systems, ascending, descending and litter handling.

An evening with Adam 'The Bear Whisperer' Sherriff, learning about safety around Bears: 

Bear Aware is an educational program designed to prevent and reduce conflicts between people and bears in our community.

We will also have a chance to shoot off some Bear Spray.

First Aid Training dealing with proper splinting techniques. Vacuum splint, sager splint, quick splits, collar application and clam shell use.

Practise with the Brake Rack and Tandem Prussiks.
