On September 24th GADSAR was called to assist BCAS and the GFD with an over the embankment rescue. 5 rope team members responded via ground. GADSAR, BCAS and GFD members all worked together to bring the single patient up the 100 ft bank with a dual rope system. The seriously injured female patient was then transported via ground to Golden.

GADSAR attended to 3 climbers in Bugaboo Provincial Park that had become stranded on the Eastpost Spire. Three subjects were heli-slung off the climb and a single male climber was transferred to BCAS in Golden.

GADSAR was requested by BCAS to assist in the extraction of a single female injured in a vehicle rollover. BCAS paramedics were on scene stabilizing the patient and packaging her with spinal precautions. 2 GADSAR HETS technicians attended the scene to package the injured subject for flight. The female was slung a short distance to the awaiting STARS helicopter. 

The injured female had sustained spinal, rib and facial injuries.

GADSAR was called out by the RCMP to assist with an injured male sledder in the Laing Creek area. 3 GADSAR members flew to the area where they attended to a single male sledder who had sustained massive trauma. GADSAR treated the individual and flew him back to Golden where he was handed off to BCAS.

GADSAR responded to a medical call in the Silent Pass area for a male sledder. Two SAR members flew to the area and attended to the scene.

GADSAR responded to a single male snowboarder who had boarderd outside of KHMR boundaries and into Canyon Creek. The snowboarder became stranded and was able to alert other skiers in the area of his situation. GADSAR was notified and a team gained access to the snowboarder via KHMR. 2 GADSAR members set up camp with the snowboarder and spent the night with him, ensuring he was warm, dry and well fed. Another GADSAR member skied 2 members of the public out of Canyon Creek. GADSAR flew the snowboarder out the next morning at first light. The snowboarder was uninjured.

GADSAR was called to attend to a female hiker/climber that had injured herself on the descent of Bugaboo Spire. The injured female was able to make her way to the Conrad Kain Hut with assistance. GADSAR members attended to the subject (lower leg injury) there and flew her to the Golden airport. She was transferred to BCAS there and transported via ground to the Golden Hospital.

GADSAR assisted BCAS with the transport of an injured mountain biker from a difficult access point. The subject was HETSed off the scene to BCAS at the base of KHMR and transported via ground to Golden hospital.

GADSAR was called to investigate a possible downed hang glider off of Mt.7. 3 HETS technicians searched the area aboard a helicopter and found no sign of the hang glider.

GADSAR responded to an injured paraglider to the SW of the main launch pad of Mt.7. The paraglider was found to of sustained a minor ankle injury but was unable to negotiate the terrain safely on his own. GADSAR HETS technicians extricated the patient to the launch pad of Mt. 7 where he was met by friends.
